The Journal of Crop Improvement (formerly titled the Journal of Crop Production) examines cutting-edge topics and research fronts focused on making the necessary improvements in crop production, productivity, quality, and safety to meet the food, feed, and fiber needs of an ever-growing world population. The journal - renamed to better reflect its changing focus - addresses emerging issues, new strategies for new needs, and future challenges to global agriculture, using an integrated, multidisciplinary approach to achieve a synthesis of science and technology that offers freedom from the constraints found in many cropping systems. It provides an international forum for crop scientists, practitioners, and policymakers to discuss basic and applied aspects of crop development, with special emphasis on increased crop yield and stability, protection against pests, diseases, and weeds, and environmental concerns.
